Brown

Well, it seems like I haven’t done an illustration for a while! Here’s one for the not-particularly-good (oh who am I kidding, it’s fucking terrible) 1980 film Windows – a thrilling (boring) tale of an evil lesbian stalker victimising a poor straight woman with bad taste in hats.

I was inspired by terrible VHS covers, which feature a single scene, and random pictures of the characters as inserts. Thus, we have scenes from Windows, and significant objects from the movie.

Windows

Before I did this illustration, I needed to depict some other aspects of the film. This time, I finally decided to join the 21st century, and dusted off my graphics tablet – a piece of technology I have previously regarded with much fear. My following illustration isn’t particularly amazing in terms of digital art, but considering it’s my only real full colour digital illustration with a graphics tablet, using PS, I don’t think it’s too bad at all. Now to learn how the hell to get the same level of control over the look of the illustration that I get with traditional work.
