Now it’s dark…

Another illustration for an upcoming review, this time of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet. Lynch loves everything to be very, very dark, and it would be disingenuous of me to represent his work as anything but. (I guess there are also a lot of sunlit scenes, but they tend not to be as Lynchian..looking.) So again with the black ink and black pencil everywhere!
Still using the same paper. To avoid the “soft features’, I did all the faces with watercolour instead of pencil, which means a finer mark is possible.

I actually took some step by step scans which I might put up later, so you can see how I work. But now it’s dark (by which I mean now it’s rather late), so not right now.
